Dr. Kiernan joined the Physical Therapy Faculty in 2020. She has taught in physical therapy graduate education since 2007 with her areas of expertise in neuroscience, neurorehabilitation, and health behavior theories. She has taught in occupational therapy, health science, and public health graduate programs. She has created and taught multiple continuing education courses in neurorehabilitation and clinical neuroscience. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, American Occupational Therapy Association, and American Public Health Association.

Scholarship/Research:
Dr. Kiernan’s area of research is in Parkinson’s disease, neurorehabilitation, hybrid teaching, and educational leadership. She has presented and published her research at the national level and international level.
